Sometimes the phrase “Maybe you’re cached… Do a hard refresh.” sounds like a lame excuse for code not working.
We know how crazy it sounds that on one device you can see the new changes but the old code loads on other devices. Sometimes, this cache thing sounds like a straight up myth… we know! 😒
It’s not a myth though. It is very real!
Check out what we noticed right after publishing a new version of our own site.
When you see the new site load is because of a hard refresh — Cmd+Shift+R, on Chrome. Every other way, including typing the url on the browser, loads the old site.
Cache is a thing guys. There’s way to deal with it. But trust us, it is not a lame excuse… usually 😂 🤣
